Discover My

Nursing journey

HELLO!

Hi, I’m Brendan Aw, a Nursing graduate from Nanyang Polytechnic with a strong focus on emergency care.

I am actively working towards becoming an Emergency Care Nurse and Paramedic. My journey has been shaped by hands-on experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), where I managed critically ill patients in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.

These experiences have built my ability to stay composed under pressure, think decisively, and deliver safe, effective care when it matters most. They have also strengthened my commitment to patient-centred care, especially in urgent and unpredictable environments.

While nursing was not my initial path, it has become one of the most defining decisions in my life. It has given me the opportunity to apply my knowledge and skills in meaningful ways, making a real difference in critical moments. Every challenge I encounter continues to sharpen my clinical judgment and deepen my sense of purpose in healthcare.

I am committed to continuously advancing my expertise in emergency care while contributing strong clinical skills, teamwork, and clear communication to dynamic healthcare settings.

Currently, I am serving my National Service as an EMT with the SAF, further strengthening my foundation in emergency medical care.
